He will now be responsible for building broker relationships, raising awareness with developers, as well as supporting the bank’s existing brokers, within northern England.

Josh joined HTB from the commercial team of a high-street lender in 2022 and has since held relationship management and underwriting roles in the development finance team.

In this time Josh has established his passion for complex property development deals, helping build the bank’s reputation for working closely with brokers and clients to get development cases over the line.

Josh will report to Scott Apps, head of distribution, development finance.

Commenting on his promotion, Josh said: “As a ‘born and bred’ Yorkshireman, I'm proud to be given this opportunity to expand the bank’s presence in the north.

“I'm looking forward to supporting our fantastic development finance team, regional housebuilders and brokers in the north and demonstrating our commitment to the fantastic towns, cities and beyond that make this area so special.”

Scott Apps, head of distribution for development finance, HTB, added: “Ever since he joined HTB, Josh has shown his enthusiasm for ‘tough’ development finance cases as well as the knowledge and capability to find solutions.

“He is all about turning those tricky applications into solid completions and more importantly, providing certainty to brokers and their clients.
